Alzheimer’s Disease May Be Driven By Inflammation According To Study
Inflammation drives Alzheimer’s, according to a new study. Scientists found new hopes for treating Alzheimer’s after performing experiments on diseased mouse brains. The experiments aimed to reduce inflammation and prevent memory and behavioural problems.
What the scientists found is that inflammation in the brain is a driving factor towards Alzheimer’s. The findings reported in the Brain journal show a series of experiments on mice bred to develop Alzheimer’s disease. The scientists looked at microglia in mice and injected them with a chemical to stop the microglia numbers from becoming too high.
Their findings showed that in the untreated mice, the disease caused the brain cells to steadily lose connections. However, in treated mice they kept their nerve cell connections. In addition, they had fewer behavioural and memory problems. The treatment also helped to maintain normal microglia levels for both healthy brain and immune system. Another finding is that amyloid plaque characteristics in the animals’ brains did not stop building up during treatment.
Researchers from Southampton University now want to take the findings. They want to work with pharmaceutical companies to produce drugs suitable for human consumption. However, what they may be missing out on is the fact that there is a simpler way around this. Following a naturally healthy lifestyle and taking the right nutrients may help prevent inflammation.
One enzyme in particular could be beneficial to removing inflammation and that is Serrapeptase. It originally comes from the silkworm intestine but now synthetically manufactured in a laboratory. Serrapeptase safely dissolves and then digests inflammation within the body. Furthermore, it breaks it down and then dissolves it within the bloodstream.
Following a dedicated health plan can help to support brain health and even improve the symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease. Natural substances like Curcumin, Coconut oil with MCT and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) can all support healthy brain cells. In addition, Lauric Acid has strong microbial properties. Nattokinase can also clear inflammation and dead cells. Lithium can balance chemical responses and is popularly an anti-aging nutrient for the brain.
Other vital nutrients that the body needs to support good health is Iodine. Moreover, B vitamins can support the immune system. Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils can boost brain memory and the learning process. Ubiquinol CoQH can restore cell energy.
L-Carnitine can also promote cell growth and fight free radicals. Alpha Lipoic Acid can work as an antioxidant to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease. Alongside these nutrients, taking multivitamins and a daily dose of Vitamin E can help with reducing cognitive decline.
