Q: How can Serrapeptase help with Chronic Cough and how many do I have to take?
A: Start with 3 tablets of SerraEnzyme Serrapeptase 80,000IU x 3 times per day on an empty stomach and increase it to 4 x 3 if no relief within 7 days. Then gradually reduce to 1 x 1.
Q: The weather is moldy in San Antonio because of rain. My 8 year old child and I have had the same cough. I finally decided to take Serrapeptase (SerraEnzyme?) and mine went away. May I give it to him and, if so, in what dosage?
-Laurie M., United States
A: Same as yours is fine. There is no limit.
Q: My 8-year old cannot swallow the Serrapeptase. I did break it open and mixed it with peanut butter. Do you have a better suggestion so that he will absorb more of it?
-Laurie M., United States
A: I would suggest a thick fruit puree or juice. How many are you giving? 2-3 would be fine. Try to get them to chew the mix so it works on the throat slowly.
Can taking Serraptase cause a dry cough? Since I’ve started taking it I have a persistent tickly dry cough.
Hi Debbie, it isn’t a usual response that we get with its use. Serrapeptase usually benefits a persistent cough with its anti-inflammatory properties, so there may be other factors to consider. I would suggest ensuring you are adequately hydrated, with 6-8 glasses of pure water throughout the day. Plus rub the Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil on to the chest daily. Sir my 7 years old daughter is suffering from costocondtitis . Can I give her serrapeptase ? If yes , what will be the dosage?
Hello Yash, yes serrapeptase is safe for all ages. We suggest the SerraEnzyme 80,000iu 2 per day, 1 x 30 mins before breakfast and 1 x 30mins before her evening meal.
Also consider some vitamin D3 supplementation, as vitamin D deficiency may be related to the chest pain associated with costochondritis.

You can give to your daughter for as long as needed, there is no set time frame.
one more thing i want to ask, that last month after exposing to extreme cold my daughter complains pain in chest and ribs . when we took her to doctor , they diagnosed costochondritis.Whenever she is exposed to cold and her pain become worse. she is become extremely sensitive to cold.can you suggest other supplement for her with serrapeptase for relieve in cold symptoms
Hello Yash, the serrapeptase can also help to improve overall circulation, so is a good choice for her here. Add in the Vitamin D3, plus consider a good multi such as Active Life to cover all basis. In addition a topical magnesium product such as the magnesium lotion from GHN can be rubbed onto her body each day to help in this area. Magnesium is important for good blood circulation as well as bones and muscles.
