Serrapeptase side effects
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme (a type of protease) that stops unhealthy inflammation and will dissolve dead, inflamed, tissue.
I introduced serrapeptase in 2000 to the WWW after being informed about it by a pioneer in San Diego, USA. I gave it to various clients suffering the types of conditions shown in the 23 studies already available. These studies all used 10,000iu tablets. I gave it in various dosages and gradually increased the dosage and found to my delight that not only did it work as shown in the studies but it worked even better with higher dosages. I myself have taken up to 240,000iu’s per day for twelve years with very few days missed and credit much of my super health at aged 66 to this.
Much is written by various people (some of them doctors) on the web based upon my early writings and because they do not have the experience gained from tens of thousands of clients most of the feedback is of limited opinion. The problem is that much of the information they give out on side effects is based on this limited experience.
Serrapeptase seems to be safe for adults when taken by mouth, but you can take a few days rest every four weeks to evaluate its performance. The long-term safety of serrapeptase is not formally documented but I, my family, children, grandchildren and many thousands of clients have taken serrapeptase with no side effects since 2000 when I introduced it to the WWW (12 years ago).
Special Precautions & Warnings: It is unlikely you can get any sensible advice from a healthcare provider unless they happen to have an expert understanding of enzymes and their function.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: My daughters and many clients have used serrapeptase during the pregnancy, post natal when breastfeeding. Many clients have used one of my serrapeptase formulations to help get pregnant from the problems caused by scarring and blocked fallopian tubes. These very happy ladies and I are glad to recommend serrapeptase, a healthy carb free diet and supplements to ensure healthy mother and babies.
Bleeding disorders: You may have seen warnings on the internet claiming that serrapeptase may interfere with blood clotting and that some researchers worry that it might make bleeding disorders worse. I can categorically state that these warning are wrong and that the researchers have completely misunderstood the effects of serrapeptase. All serrapeptase does is to clear unhealthy inflammation and dead tissue.
Surgery: You may have seen warnings on the internet claiming that serrapeptase might interfere with blood clotting during and after surgery. Stop using serrapeptase at least 24 hours before a scheduled surgery. Restart 24-48hrs after the surgery depending how extensive the surgery is. This may help clear the scarring and help prevent lesions and adhesions.
Digestive Problems: It is not uncommon to get digestive discomfort or even pains from an unhealthy digestive tract when taking proteases. You can try adding a half teaspoon bicarbonate of soda to the glass of water to take with the serrapeptase. If this does not work and you have severe digestive problems then please email me for a digestive recovery plan before restarting serrapeptase.
Interactions: There are no interactions with any drugs and that includes warfarin, statins and aspirin (which you should not need to take if taking serrapeptase).
One study documented a couple of rare side effect of pneumonitis (EG as noted in “A Case of pneumonitis due to serrapeptase” by Nihon Kyobu Shikkan Gakkai Zasshi in 1989). It is impossible to evaluate why these doctors made this claim and it may even have been because of tainted serrapeptase. Why? Because there are no other reports in over 20 years of use.
